1933 Lagonda 2.0 Litre Speed Model
1932 Lagonda 2.0 litre Low Chassis Speed Model Tourer. Four cylinders & Twin carburettors. One of the last of this model made, first registered 19th of July 1933. In my opinion, (based on an old letter I found inside the seat base), originally belonged to Violet Cordrey who made history when she drove an Invicta round the world in 1929 at an average speed of 24.6 mph. Violet married John Hindmarsh, who won Le Mans for Lagonda in 1935. Found this old Lag in the USA & repatriated it in 1988. Great driving car, best on a good road if you could find one, (even better round Silverstone). Pictured below in USA circa 1980.
